Introduction

Please, let me introduce myself.

My name is Jonathan and I am the author of McClainSolutions.com and owner of McClain Solutions, LLC.

This blog is about my thoughts into designing, producing, and maintaining the site and the company.

McClain Solutions, LLC produces a multitude of documents to help people better prepare for the future in technology. The site is a outlet for those documents.

So you are about to read a brainless, depressing, and complex blog into my mind. Please, be gentle.

I guess it is a little of me being self-absorbed, but not much I promise you.

This weeks article 'Basic Windows Corruption OS Fix'

OK, the title for this weeks article could have been made more non-tech like, but who would notice?

What is the reason behind the article?

I spent all day today working on fixing my system because of a blown SMB MiniRedirector Wrapper service driver which Workstation services depends on. It took me about 90 sec to find the issue. But I decided to look around and see if anyone else was having the issue with Vista or Windows 7.

It turns out I was not the only one and several quote "Microsoft Cert techs" couldn't answer any of the users questions. The quote "Microsoft Cert techs" on the boards recommends reinstalling the OS instead of finding the issue and resolving it.

So I decided to answer a few posts and look for an easier way of resolving the issue. Because I spent 5 hours of my life on this one simple issue, I just had to make an article.

Well that's it for today. Time for me to go do some house work. Tell next time.
